Bio-Distributors COVID-19 Hygiene Protocol
We are extremely fortunate that we live in a remote rural setting and our warehouse is situated 250m from our house. We also have no employees so it is only the two of us whom we have to manage.
In response to the current COVID-19 global pandemic, we as a food wholesaler/online retailer have instituted certain extra measures additional to our normal food handling protocols to maximize the safety of customers when purchasing our products.
We have closed our warehouse to everyone except one courier who will be wearing disposable gloves when he enters the outer section of the building to pick up orders. In addition he will be required to walk on a carpet runner that will be rolled up and stored safely away after each pick up. We will also be disinfecting the door handle and lock after he has left the premises. No one except Ric and Jo will have access to the inner section of the warehouse where most of our products are stored and our re-packing station is located.
Our delivery driver for large pallet-sized incoming and outgoing orders will not be entering the warehouse at all.
When we are delivering orders ourselves we will be wearing gloves at all times and will dispose of these after each delivery. We will be leaving orders in a pre-arranged safe location and will not be interacting with customers. We will photograph the items at their destination as proof of delivery.
When delivering or picking up orders from the post office we will also be wearing gloves. Our dispatch of orders by post will be reduced to two days a week on Mondays and Thursdays. This will result in some delays for customers and we apologise for this situation.
We trust you will appreciate the extra precautions we are taking, as they will help to keep your food supplies as protected and contamination free as possible, as well as keeping us healthy.
